Rosemary Viginia Williams, 90, of Wayne City, Illinois passed away at 8:00 A.M. Sunday, January 22, 2017 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was born Saturday, February 13, 1926 in Wayne County, Illinois to parents, Ray M. & Mabel M. (Case) Cates. She married Loren C. Williams on May 8, 1942 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and he preceded her in death on October 7, 1969.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time, 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Archie L. Sanders Memorial Chapel in Wayne City, Illinois.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Archie L. Sanders Memorial Chapel at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City, Illinois with Pastor Gary Kline officiating. A Burial of Ashes will directly follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Bluford, Illinois.
Rosemary Viginia Williams is survived by her son, Ronald Dale Ron Williams of Wayne City, Illinois; 2 grandchildren, Beth Turner and husband, Brad of Fairfield, Illinois and Rhonda Jane Loveless of Woodlawn, Illinois; 5 great grandchildren, Ryan Turner and wife, Karissa, Brett Turner, Eric Turner and wife, Ashley, Lindsey Peterson, and Brent Peterson; 9 great-grandchildren, Jaxon Turner, Ava Turner, Ella Turner, Landon Turner, Emery Turner, Brayden Duncan, Cameron Peterson, Evan Peterson, and Hadley Peterson; grand daughter-in-law, Nanette Williams; sister, Jeta Joan Lowry of Joliet, Illinois; brother, Ernie Dean Cates and wife, Betty of Bluford, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents; husband; grandson, Eldon Ray Williams; brother, James Robert Cates; and daughter-in-law, Joey Williams preceded her in death.
Rosemary was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church and was a line stitch hemmer at the Garment Factory in Wayne City.
