Marion F. Yarber, age 89, of Carpentersville formerly of Champaign and a native of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Marion was born and raised in Mount Vernon, IL and was the son of the late Thomas A. & Alma (nee Pace) Yarber. He was a many year resident of the area and a Teacher by profession. Marion was a former Foreign Language teacher at Cary Grove High School having taught French, Latin and Spanish for many years. He had many loves and interests including; football, chocolate, movies and classical music. In earlier years was an accomplished cornet player and always a pet lover. Survivors include his children; Thomas (Gladys) Yarber, Phil (Fran Hamilton) Yarber and Rev. Sue (Rev. Ann Luchterhand) Yarber.
Other survivors include his grandchildren; Risa, Miriam, Alilei and Allison. His great grandchildren; Jameson, Stella, Antalia, Marley, and RJ along with his former wife and longtime friend; Ann Jolly, her children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his first wife; Ruth Walsh Yarber in 1991, Marion was preceded in death by his brother; Robert Paul Yarber and sister; Marguerite Elizabeth Yarber. Visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee, IL on Friday, June 30, 2017 from Noon until time of service at 1:00 P.M.
