James M. Randall, 59, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 4:45 A.M. Saturday, September 10, 2016 at his home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with his family by his side. He was born Saturday, December 29, 1956 in East Saint Louis, Illinois to parents, Charles Leaper "Rut" and Doris Mae (Turcott) Randall. He married Gwen Neblett on November 11, 1978 in Saint Henry Catholic Church in Belleville, Illinois.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Saint Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois with The Very Reverend Father John Iffert officiating. A Private Family Burial will take place at Saint Mary Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
A Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, September 12, 2016 at Saint Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
Jim is survived by his mother: Doris Randall of Belleville, Illinois, wife: Gwen Randall of Mount Vernon, Illinois, two daughters: Christy Pudwell and husband Tim of Bolingbrook, Illinois and Nikki Beth Williams and husband Eric of Glen Carbon, Illinois, four grandchildren: Evan and Nora Williams both of Glen Carbon, Illinois and Tessa and Sadie Pudwell both of Bolingbrook, Illinois, two brothers: John Randall and Scott Randall both of Belleville, Illinois, and sister: Cindy Monahan of Belleville, Illinois. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
His father and one brother: Alan Randall preceded him in death.
Jim attended Saint Philip Grade School in East Saint Louis, Illinois and graduated from Assumption High School also in East Saint Louis, before graduating from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a Bachelors Degree. He worked as a Certified Public Accountant and partnered at Krehbiel and Associates in Mount Vernon. Mr. Randall was a member of Saint Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where he served on the churchs Financial Council, the Knights of Columbus #2964, and the Mount Vernon Elks (B.P.O.E.) Lodge 819. He loved his family and grandchildren, and enjoyed playing golf with his friends.
