Floann Kirsch, 85, of McLeansboro, passed away 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, at McLeansboro Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in McLeansboro.
Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at St. Clement's Catholic Church in McLeansboro with Father Slawomir Ptak officiating. Burial will be at St. Clements Catholic Cemetery in McLeansboro.
She was born June 25, 1932, in Piopolis, the daughter of William Mitsdarffer and Catherine (Engel) Mitsdarffer. She married Norman Joseph Kirsch on May 30, 1955, in Piopolis.
She was a homemaker and member of St. Clements Catholic Church in McLeansboro. She was a member of St. Clements Ladies Sodality and she did childcare in her home for several years and took care of many children.
She is survived by one daughter, Lori Smith and husband Eric of Springfield; three sons, Ron Kirsch and wife Terrea of Mt. Vernon, Alan Kirsch and wife Denise of McLeansboro and Kevin Kirsch and wife Tricia of Loami; eight grandchildren, Chandler, Erica, Mallory, Rachel, Daniel and Kayci Kirsch, Reegan Smith and Asya Smith; one great-grandson, Jackson Kirsch; and two sisters-in-law, Lucille Mitsdarffer of Evansville, Ind., and Aubrey Mitsdarffer of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman; five brothers, Paul, Edwin, Clarence, Robert and Francis Mitsdarffer; three sisters, Jennie Wuebbles, Marie Devoy and Madeline Bond; and several infant brothers and sisters.
Memorials may be made to St. Clements Catholic Cemetery Fund or the Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at the funeral home or the church.
Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro, is in charge of arrangements.
