After fighting a long battle since having her lung transport in 2008, Cheryl Lynn Robbins, 63, passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Barnes Hospital on December 15, 2016.
Cheryl was born on March 20, 1953, in Mt Vernon, IL to Kenneth Jewell Kirkpatrick and Doris (Mayer) Kirkpatrick, who both proceeded her in death, along with her twin brother, Mike Kirkpatrick.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Lynn Robbins, and son, Robby Tate, his wife, Michele and Granddaughters: Camryn Linda Tate and Avery Jewell Tate. Cheryl is, also, survived by one brother, Rickie (Peggy) Kirkpatrick; one half-sister, Karen Baker Lash; three step-children: Colby Robbins, Doug (Tara) Robbins and Cara (Jerry) Tucker; seven grandchildren: Tay-Lyn, Keiara, Reagan, Braden, Brody, Rennick and Aya; and many more friends and family members who loved her dearly.
Cheryl and Dennis lived on the Lake of Egypt where she loved feeding the many birds and animals that came in their yard. She loved fishing with her husband and taking care of her dogs.
Cheryl had worked for the City of Mt Vernon for 20 years.
As she wished, she will be cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.
