Anita was a member of the Family Life Assembly of God in Mount Vernon. Anita was a powerful, intelligent, savvy, sharp-skilled, educated woman who made her own way through life. After the death of her husband, she raised her two daughters alone. She was an RN with two additional degrees. She owned a very profitable medical management company. Anita was an amazing Meme to her grandchildren. Her beauty and truthfulness were second to none. Her laughter and sense of humor was infectious. She taught her girls about business, how to survive, and about Jesus. She was a good friend to many, a mother to all... She was encouraging and told us everything would be okay. There will never be anyone in our lives like her. We loved her with our whole hearts and will miss her very, very much.

For those who wish, memorials may be given to Casper Cemetery in Anna, Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home or mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mount Vernon, Illinois 62864.
