Wanda Lou Manning, 84, of Bluford, Illinois passed away at 1:40 A.M. October 30, 2017 after a short battle with Amyloidosis at Mount Vernon Countryside Manor in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was born June 24, 1933 in Wilkin County, Minnesota to Leo Fisher and Clara (Lohmann) Fisher-Steinberg. She married Marlin Manning on May 30, 1953 and he preceded her in death on April 9, 1998.
Mrs. Manning is survived by her three children, Larry and wife, Debra of Belle Rive, Marlene Whipple and husband, David of Ashley, and Paul Manning and wife, Peggy of Bluford; six grandchildren, Steven Manning and wife, Emily, Mary (Manning) Minor and husband, Brandon, Elayna (Whipple) Lacy and husband, Brent, Kevin Whipple and wife, Sarah, Brad Manning, and Maria Manning; nine great-grandchildren, Clara and Ruby Manning, Cooper and Makenna Minor, Matthew, David and Ella Lacy, and Taylor and Kaden Whipple; one sisters, Clarice Alsleben; two brothers, Jim Steinberg and wife, Carol, and Dale Steinberg.
In addition to her husband, Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands parents; one sister, Eldora Gunderson; one brother, Kenneth Lohmann; and one brother-in-law, Hillard Alsleben.
Wanda and Marlin farmed for many years in Bluford then moved to Fairfield where Marlin pastored. After his passing she returned to Bluford where she has been active in several senior choirs, many church activities, and held membership at East Hickory Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and loved visiting with her family. She loved the Lord and fellowship with her church and family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Monday, November 6, 2017 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Reverend Ron Mick officiating. Interment: Belle Rive-Flint Cemetery in Belle Rive, Illinois.
