Ryan Brawley, 31, of Ina, Illinois, passed away May 7, 2017 at 6:19 P.M. due to complications of Cystic Fibrosis at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois, surrounded by his family.
Ryan was a graduate of Webber Township High School and Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School and enjoyed cooking. He also enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and was a Saint Louis Blues Hockey fan. He loved spending time with his friends and family and beloved dog, Rosco. He cherished his nieces and nephews and loved being an uncle. He was a Christian and member of Family Life Church. Ryan loved life and always had a smile on his face. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Ryan is survived by his father, Mike Brawley of Wayne City; mother, Lisa McGovern and stepfather, Rob McGovern of Ina; stepbrother, Doug McGovern of Mount Vernon; stepsister, Lynsey McGovern of Salem; niece and nephews, Emma McGovern, Kade McGovern, and Tyson Smith; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oscar and Patsy Brawley of Wayne City, Charles and Mildred Russell of Bluford, and Kent McGovern of Nason; sister, Michelle Brawley; and uncle, Tom Frazier of Bluford.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Pastor Kent Jackson. Interment will follow at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City, Illinois.
