Norma's Story

Janie Bost Reynolds went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ, Sunday, November 5th at 11:00pm.
Janie was born April 8, 1943 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to the late Lawrence and Iowa Bost. She married Ron Reynolds on March 6, 1966. They were blessed with 51 years of marriage.
Janie is survived by 3 sons, Chris Reynolds and wife, Lisa of Bonnie; Tim Reynolds and wife, MeLissa of Waltonville; Jody Reynolds and wife, Tobey of Waltonville; granddaughter, Ashley Wilson and husband, Ryan; grandson, Thomas Reynolds and wife, Audrey; granddaughter, Hannah Bair and husband, Braden. Grandsons - Brayden, Jordan, Caleb and Jack Reynolds and granddaughters - Micah, Isabella and Joelle Reynolds. They were also blessed with 5 great grandchildren and one on the way. Janie was preceded in death by her son, Jon who passed away in 2006.
Janie accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized in 1969. She attended College of the Sequoias in Visalia, California and later Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Janie was a high school teacher and administrator of Mt. Vernon Christian School for many years. She was honored to be chosen as a Senior Saint of Jefferson County in 2013. Janie was greatly loved by her family and church family.
A graveside service will be held at Bethel Cemetery Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 1:00pm. A special Celebration of Life service, honoring Janie Reynolds will be held at Mt. Vernon Baptist Temple at 10:00am Sunday, November 12, 2017. All family and friends are invited to attend. In Lieu of flowers the Pastors ask that all memorials be made to Mt. Vernon Baptist Temple Sign Project Fund.
