LaDonna Talbert, 52, of Wayne City, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, November 28, 2016, at her home after a courageous, hard-fought, seven month battle with cancer. LaDonna was born in Elgin, Illinois, on May 22, 1964, to Don and Lois Wallace. She married Richard Talbert on April 19, 1986 in Wayne City. She was a beloved teacher at Noble, Illinois, Cisne, Illinois, and for the past 20 years at Wayne City High School. LaDonna's goal in life was to represent Jesus wherever she went and to whomever she met, but especially to her students who she prayed for and worried about constantly. She is survived by the love of her life, high school sweetheart, and wonderful husband, Richard, of Wayne City, son, Jacob (Jenna) Talbert, of West Frankfort, Illinois, daughter, Emma (Joe) Erwin, of Decatur, Illinois, parents, brother, Wayde (Mary) Wallace, of Kell, Illinois, granddaughter, Lana, and grandson, Alexander Talbert, of West Frankfort, her beloved in-laws, Wayne and Donna Talbert, of Sims, Illinois, sister-in-law, Misty (Todd) Warren, of Nolensville, Tennessee, nephew, Taylor, and nieces Abbey and Lexey Warren, all of Nolensville, Tennessee, many uncles, aunts, and cousins, and multitudes of friends which include her co-workers at Wayne City High School.
