Judy A. Holtz, 83, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 4:00 P.M. November 22, 2017 at her residence in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was born December 18, 1933 in Anna, Illinois to James and Josephine (Cain) Boyd. She married Donald Gene Holtz on September 1, 1950 in Anna, Illinois and he preceded her in death in January of 1977.
Judy is survived by her two daughters, Donna J. Wood and husband John Nelson of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Patricia S. McDonald and husband Jim of Effingham, Illinois; granddaughter, Courtney Sammons of Mount Vernon, Illinois; two sisters, Betty Rendleman of California and Cynthia Moretz of Davenport, Iowa; brother, Phillip Boyd of Houston, Texas; sister-in-law, Carol Lee Griffith and husband Dave of Bloomington, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Holtz was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Judy worked as a cashier and in the offices of the Big Star Grocery Store and IGA. She was an avid Saint Louis Cardinals fan and was a member of Central Christian Church in Mount Vernon. Judy was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Graveside Service will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Anna City Cemetery in Anna, Illinois with Mr. Randy Sells officiating. Interment will follow. Memorials: Mount Vernon Mavericks.
