James "Jim"'s Story
James W. "Jim" Brieseacher, 84, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away at 5:35 P.M. November 14, 2017 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born July 18, 1933 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Walter H. and Ethel (Trotter) Brieseacher.
Jim is survived by his brother, Richard Brieseacher and wife Lavin of Mount Vernon, Illinois; sisters, Mildred Wilson of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Arlene Owens and husband Jerry of Mount Vernon, Illinois, and Joyce Dempsey of Woodlawn, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Brieseacher was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law, Allen Dempsey and Byford Wilson.
Jim served our country in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict from 1952-1954 and worked as an architect and engineer for CASCO in Saint Louis. He was a member of the Missouri Botanical Gardens in Saint Louis, Missouri, enjoyed traveling, and loved gardening, taking care of the plants in his greenhouse, and raising orchids.
