Emma loved life. She always had a positive outlook and was a genuine soul. Her parents and her sister were the most important things to her; sharing a special closeness that brought her great confidence and joy. She loved her family, friends, and her animals. Her faith always guided her. She graduated St. Marys Catholic Grade School & Mt. Vernon Township High School in Mt. Vernon, IL obtaining a 4.0 through her academic career. She had a continued strong bond with her St. Marys classmates & Mt. Vernon High School friends. She was currently a student at SIUE maintaining her excellent academic status. Emma is an active Alpha Sigma Tau member at SIUE and was very proud to wear her letters. She had made many great friends over this past year and closest to her heart were her sorority sisters, Savannah Mims and Andrea Mohr. She was looking forward to her secondary education degree to share her heart and her knowledge in helping others. She was already following the path of her chosen field and was employed by Five Star Learning Center in Troy Illinois. Emma loved writing, from her collaboration notebook with Riley all the way to her college writings for the Odyssey online at SIUE. She loved nature and traveling. She took piano instruction, sang for 10 years with Mrs. Just, and danced at Center stage studio for 8 years. She loved to read and catch up on Netflix. She dreamed of a future house by the ocean and a family of her own that she would one day have. Emma, a soul that is forever enriching, could simply light up a room by being present with that infectious smile. A life gone to soon, she will forever remain in our hearts and souls.
