Anna Mae Bargesser, 86, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 5:33 A.M. December 11, 2017 at Mount Vernon Countryside Manor. She was born March 15, 1931 in Anna, Illinois to the late George and Clema Lucille (Garner) Jones.
Ann married Carl Bargesser on July 18, 1950 in Piggott, Arkansas. Ann is survived by her daughters, Zaunda Peacock and husband, Jerry of Waterville, Ohio and Janine Jan Hirons and husband, Charlie George of Mount Vernon, Illinois; grandchildren, David Hirons of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and Derek Hirons and wife, Stephanie of Evansville, Indiana; great-grandson, Caleb Hirons of Evansville, Indiana; and sisters-in-law, Virginia Jones and Sue Ellen Thompson.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her siblings, Leonard Jones, Robert Jones, and Ruby Dennison.
Ann was a Registered Nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital, an instructor at Rend Lake College, and the director of nursing at Jeffersonian Nursing Home. She was a member of Logan Street Baptist Church and volunteered for Hospice of the Good Samaritan. Anns greatest joy was being with her family and helping others. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
